This project as a unique story behind it. Originally designed for a builder as speculative house, our plans were nearly complete when he discovered that the entire block was in an "unofficial flood plain". This made the project completely unviable since no one would ever want to buy a house that had a potential for water problems.

Then, along comes the current owner. Their commercial construction background didn't deter them from building the retaining walls and water retention required to make the house work with the site. Below the current driveway is a 9,000 cubic foot storage area for water retention.

The result of their hard work allowed the house to be built. It sits on a prominent corner opposite Monroe Grade School. Complete with pool, hot tub, freestanding fireplace and built-in grill, this house is a designed around summer time activities. Custom woodwork and doors complete the interior.
